Zachary “Zach” Shannon Denton, formerly of Wisconsin Dells unexpectedly passed away on September 1, 2018 at the age of 23. Zach lived life by keeping his smile bright and delighting everyone with it. Moreover, Zach made sure that everyone who was around him was happy by providing quirky jokes and helping anyone in any way possible.
Zach was loved and cherished by all who came to know him. Whether one knew him for a lifetime or a brief interaction, he made an impact with his kindness and genuine behavior. While growing up in Wisconsin Dells, Zach’s passion for sports grew. He participated in many sports ranging from wrestling, football, track and field, among others. His performance was always first-rate in whatever sport he competed. Over time, the young boy grew into a young man with skills honed in teamwork and leadership; qualities that many of his friends, teammates and coaches tremendously admired.
Zach’s favorite sport was football. He was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings. He also enjoyed college football, with his favorite teams being the Oregon Ducks and Wisconsin Badgers. He also enjoyed watching basketball, with his favorite team being the Boston Celtics. Zach enjoyed playing golf during the warm summer months.
Zach is survived by his mother, Stefani Taft and siblings: Seth, Lauren (partner Randall Heinemeier), Sebastian and Joshua. He is also survived by two nephews: Reece and Landry as well as his loving partner, Katelin Hill. Zach is further survived by other extended family members and countless friends.
A celebration of Zach’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Zach’s name.
