Walter Marx

Walter T. Marx, age 82 of Montello, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Wisconsin Veterans Home at King. He was born on September 23, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Ruth (Williams) Marx. Walter proudly served his country with the United States Marines and United States Army. He was an active member of American Legion Post #351 of Montello. Walter loved to help others, work outdoors, go fishing and spend time with friends. Survivors include friends, Al and Hazel Chmielewski, Ken and Max Kersky and Mary Martin, all of Montello and many other friends at American Legion Post #351. Walter was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Crawford Funeral Home, Montello with Rev. Clint Rudesill officiating. Full military honors will follow the service at the funeral home by American Legion Post #351 of Montello. Following the traditional services, Walter will be cremated and inurnment will be in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King at a later date. A visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
