Walter 'Wally' Kroupa, age 67 of Packwaukee, formerly of Milwaukee passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 25, 2012 at his home. Wally was born in Greenfield, WI on December 19, 1944 to Albert and Luella (Lembke). He was a graduate of Wauwatosa East High School and later served his country as a member of the United States Army. Wally married Judy Chojnowski on March 8, 1969 in West Allis at St. Rita's Catholic Church. He was employed by Milwaukee County for 34 years as a heavy equipment operator and retired to the Packwaukee area in 2001. Wally leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Judy and four children: Steven of Milwaukee, Sandra Kroupa of Oxford, Mark (special friend, Terri) of West Allis and Daniel (special friend, Michele) of Wauwatosa. He is also survived by four siblings: Alberta (Jim) Musbach, Raymond (Suzanne), Clara (Larry) Baugniet and Clarence (Karen) as well as sister-in-law, June Kroupa. Wally is further survived by his mother-in-law, Loretta Chojnowski, brothers-in-law, Bob (Bev) Chojnowski and Bill (special friend, Michelle) Chojnowski as well as many well-loved nieces, especially grand-niece, Jordan Kroupa, and nephews and many dear friends. Wally will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Wally is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Delores Rank, brother, Robert and father-in-law, Harry Chojnowski. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28th from 12:00 p.m. noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. On Tuesday, October 30th at the Schaff Funeral Home, 5920 West Lincoln Avenue in West Allis visitation will begin at 9:30 with a service following at 11:00 a.m. Full military honors will be performed following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
