Virgil Ernest Langrehr, age 67 of Westfield passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 12, 2018 at his home. Virgil was born in Sparta, WI on November 5, 1950 to Harold and Cora (Hanson) Langrehr. He married Bonnie Lange in Westfield on October 3, 1969. Virgil worked for Delmonte Foods many years as well as Brakebush Bros. for 17 years until retiring in 2013. He was a collector of Indian artifacts, wolf and eagle figurines and enjoyed horses. Virgil was a gifted mechanic and loved to attend parades. He was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Virgil is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie and son, Robert (fiancé Liana Fredette) of Coloma and three grandchildren: Brandon, Bridget and Ryan. He is also survived by two sisters: Lucile Barton and Elaine Ferguson and brother, Verdell Langrehr. Virgil is further survived by several extended family members and many friends.
Virgil is preceded in death by his parents, son, Virgil Ernest Langrehr Jr., sister, Marcella (Walt) and brothers-in-law: Ken Barton and Skip Ferguson.
A funeral service for Virgil Langrehr will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will officiate and burial will follow at the Harrisville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Virgil’s name.
