Victor Ralph Krueger, age 80, of Montello passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at UW Hospital in Madison. Victor was born in Spencer, WI on July 18, 1930 to the late George and Luella (Keisling) Krueger. Victor served his country as a member of the United States Air Force in the Korean War and on December 27, 1952 he married Shirley Calbaum in Colby, WI. Victor worked for IBM for 35 years in the Milwaukee area and eventually retired to the Montello area in 1997. In his retirement he enjoyed the outdoors; spending much of his time hunting, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and also was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Montello. Victor will always be remembered for his generosity and kind spirit. Victor leaves behind his wife, Shirley of almost 58 years and two daughters: Kathy Krueger of Westfield and Dawn (Robert) Tarcsay of Neillsville as well as ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by six siblings: Stanley (Beverly), Earl (Jan), Elaine Nelson, Helen (Bill) Bernhardt, Mable (Wayne) Johnson, and Ruby Ritger and daughter-in-law, Kathy Marie Krueger and son-in-law Clary Behling. Victor is preceded in death by his parents and two children: Connie Behling and Rodney Krueger. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Pete Zietlow officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Full military honors will be performed following the service by Legion Post 351 of Montello. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church-Air Conditioning Fund.
