Thomas Campion

Thomas J. Campion, age 51 of Packwaukee died Wednesday afternoon, February 22, 2012. Tom was born in Portage on March 20, 1960 to Maurice and Mary Lou (Sullivan) Campion. Tom graduated from Montello High School in 1979. Following high school he served his country as member of the US Navy. Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and family; some of his hobbies were playing cards, shooting pool, gambling and also canoeing. Though he left us too soon, he will always be remembered for his smile. Tom leaves behind his mother, Mary Lou of Montello and ten siblings: Mona (Dave) Matijevich of Packwaukee, Peggy (Matt) Marchand of Portage, Mike (Peggy) of Montello, Mary Alice (Ray) O'Donnell of Portage, John of Montello, Loretta (Mike) Corning of Portage, Charlotte (John) Hoffmann of Montello, Charles (Tessie) of Packwaukee, Richard (Paula) of Fisher, IN and Patrick (Traci) of Montello. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: David (Melissa) Matijevich, Peter (Erin) Matijevich, Audrey, Steven, Timothy and Christopher Marchand, Addie and Siah Campion, Ann O'Donnell, Mathias, Philip and Alex Hoffmann, Mauri Jean (Kyle) Prouty, Aaron and Brianna Campion, Tiffany Campion, Jack Stalker and Grace Campion. Tom is further survived by his six aunts: Fae Williamson, Marie Brandt, Vivian (Floyd) Wasson, Joan Wilson, Alta (Phil) Wheeler and Marie Sullivan as well as his two uncles, Bob (Jeannette) Sullivan and Jim (Carol) Sullivan. Tom is preceded in death by his father, nephew, Joey Campion, Grandma and Grandpa Sullivan, Grandma and Grandpa Campion and numerous aunts and uncles. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Father David Carrano will officiate and inurnment with full military honors by American Legion Post 351 of Montello will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery following the service.
