Thomas Buraczewski

Thomas "Tom" Buraczewski, age 81 of Montello passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at UW Hospital in Madison with his wife by his side. Tom was born on August 27, 1934 in Milwaukee to Stanley and Rose (Czepurda) Buraczewski. He served his country as a member of both the United States Air Force and Marines. Tom married Mary (Collins) Wright on December 15, 1979 in Milwaukee and together worked and lived in West Allis until retiring to Montello in 2002. Tom enjoyed gardening and will be remembered for selling the fruits of his labor from his garden. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and in his earlier years, he was an avid fisherman. Most of all, Tom loved his family and he made many memories with them and friends alike. Tom is survived by his wife of almost 36 years, Mary and five children: Linda (Russ) Wilson, Lisa Braski, Laurie (Mike) Krause, Larry (Carrie) Wright and Michelle Chandler as well as ten grandchildren and a great-grandson, Finn. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Louise Banach, sister-in-law, Julie Burk as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, son, Michael Braski and brothers: Stanley Buraczewski and John Burk. Per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date.
