Stanley Mashack

Stanley Leo Mashack, age 88 of Montello passed away Thursday, August 1, 2014 at the Berlin Memorial Hospital. Stanley was born on March 31, 1926 at home in the town of Shields, Marquette County to John and Mary (Giese) Mashack. He married Arlene Fleegel on September 2, 1950. Stanley farmed for many years until becoming an auctioneer; he was in partnership with Leroy Teske. Stanley was an avid hunter and fisherman, always having a black labrador retriever. He was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello where he served as an usher and was also a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus. Stanley leaves behind his wife of almost 64 years, Arlene. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Evangeline, Florence (Charles) Dombrowski, Woodrow and twin brother, John (Evelyn). A Mass of Christian Burial for Stanley will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Father Tim Renz will celebrate the mass and burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, town of Montello.
