Sandra “Sandy” J. Kilbride-Becker, age 87 of Montello passed away peacefully Thursday, May 30, 2024 at The Meadows Of Fall River CBRF. Sandy was born in Monroe on January 4, 1937 to Homer and Helen (Frick) Zweifel. She graduated from Montello High School in 1955 and was united in marriage to George F. Kilbride on September 27, 1956 and together they had four children before his passing in February of 1989. Sandy married Richard Becker on February 1, 1997 and together they enjoy many adventures together until his passing in July of 2012.
Sandy was known for driving school bus for the Montello Schools, she retired after 35 years. Sandy enjoyed quilting, touring the countryside and visiting with others. She was a giving person, in 2010 she was awarded Marquette County Caregiver of the Year. Sandy was a longtime and active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She will be remembered for her positive and outgoing attitude and willingness to talk to anyone.
Sandy is survived by her two children: George J. (Leslie) Kilbride of Sun Prairie and Mary (Darrell) Kromm of Reeseville as well as four grandchildren: Kay (Justin Woldt) Kromm, Linaria Calahane, Forrest Kilbride and Lance Kilbride. She is further survived by 2 great-grandchildren: Alisha and Claire and other extended family members. She is also survived by Richard’s children: Lawrence (Kathy) Becker of Montello, Paul (Mary) Becker of Rio, David (Renee) Becker of Oshkosh, Lynnette (Chris) Pozorski of Fort Wayne, IN, Jill Becker of Marshfield and Joy Becker of Marshfield as well as their children and grandchildren.
Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands: George and Richard, infant daughter, Margaret, son, Michael, two brothers: Edward (Marge) and Zane and grandson, Tim Calahane.
A funeral service for Sandra Kilbride-Becker will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Lisa Gilbert will preside and burial will follow at the Montello City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 460, Montello, WI 53949.
