Sandra Kirk

Sandra Lee Kirk, age 70 of Montello passed away Tuesday morning, August 18, 2015 at Tivoli in Portage. Sandra was born in Waukegan, IL to Franklin and Laura (Hess) Crandall Sr. on October 4, 1944. Her family moved to the area in 1955 and she graduated from Montello High School in 1962. Following high school she moved relocated to Oak Park, IL and later to Arizona before returning to Montello in the late 1990's. Sandra was an avid sports fan and enjoyed Friday Night Fish Fry's. She had a love for playing bingo and the slot machines. Sandra was an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her family. Sandra is survived by three children: Deborah (Rafael) Neely of Darian, IL, Harold Kirk Jr. of Virginia and Sherry (Leslie "Bob") Sluga of Packwaukee as well as two grandsons: Rickey (Carla) Moore and Joban (Alissa) Scott. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Kasen, Dominic, Auden, Nolan and Gavin as well as four siblings: Mabelle (Phil) Husting, Lee Paul, Jacqueline Shreves and Franklin Crandall Jr. Sandra is further survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Patricia Marie Crandall. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date and Sandra will be inurned at the Hillside Cemetery in Antioch, IL. The family would like to thanks our mother's friends who were kind enough to visit her while in the hospital and while at the nursing home and also Thank You to Pastor Pete Zietlow for his devotions with our mother during this difficult time.
