Richard Wieting

Richard Thomas Wieting Sr ., age 77 of Montello passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Montello Care Center.  He was born in Milwaukee on May 4, 1943 to Clarence and Victoria (Peseral) Wieting.  Richard married his soul mate and best friend, Kathy Graunke on August 9, 1969 and together they enjoyed 51 years together.  He was an avid hunter and walleye fisherman.  Richard loved to spend time with his family and the memories they made together will be cherished forever; he will be greatly missed.

Richard is survived by his wife, Kathy and four children: Richard Jr. (Jennifer), Steven (Kristen), David (Kelly) and Tracy Wieting as well as six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lori (Ramon) Acevedo and dear friends: Alex and Tiffany Rednour and other family and friends.

Services for Richard will be private.  In his memory, donations are preferred to Agrace Hospice, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.
