Raymond “Ray” R. Ryzner, age 69 of Oxford passed away peacefully with his wife and sister-in-law by his side on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison. Ray was born in Chicago on December 26,1954 to Raymond and Genevieve (Jendrzejczyk) Ryzner. He was raised in Chicago and spent many years working in the Chicagoland area. While visiting family in Oxford in 1996, he met Sara Roney and on August 28, 1999 the two were united in marriage surrounded by family and friends in Oxford.
Ray stayed close to his roots, continuing to cheer on his beloved Cubs and Bears. He and Sara enjoyed trips to the casino, and he was an avid sports fan. Ray was employed by Sysco Foods and most recently Brakebush Brothers until his health declined. His family was important to him, he was always there to support his nieces and nephews at their events. Ray will be remembered for his witty sense of humor.
Ray is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sara and one son, William. He also survived by his brother, Robert, sisters-in-law: Gail Ryzner and Faith (Garret Gould) Kirsenlohr, mother-in-law, Sherry Roney and several nieces and nephews.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Jeanette Ryzner, brother, Dennis, sister-in-law, Hope Ryzner, brother-in-law, Micheal Roney and father-in-law, Glendon Roney.

A celebration of life for Raymond “Ray” Ryzner will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM (noon) at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford. He will be inurned at the Oxford Village Cemetery with private family services. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.
