Phyllis Mrazik

On Saturday, October 13, 2018, our beloved mother and grandmother, Phyllis Dorothy Mrazik, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 at the Markesan Resident Home. Phyllis was born on May 28, 1939 in Milwaukee to Leo and Cecelia Mueller. In June of 1966, she married Robert Joseph Mrazik and raised their family in Milwaukee.  In January of 1990, they made their permanent home in a place they loved, near White Lake, rural Montello.  Robert preceded her in death in 1993.

Phyllis was a beautiful, fun loving woman, full of pride and spirit; a warrior that never gave up on her life. She cared deeply for her family, friends and cherished pets. Phyllis was happiest when socializing with people, laughing, listening to music, and watching the hummingbirds, deer and other wildlife that would come to visit.

She is survived by her four children: Robert (Peggy), Ricky, Robin and Elizabeth Wilson as well as seven grandchildren: Michael, Ray, Stacy, Daniel, Bo, R.J. and Nick.  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Steve Potyandy, aunt and godmother, Geraldine as well as nieces: Kimberly who is also a godchild, Tammy and Michelle.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Patricia and daughter-in-law, Colleen.

A funeral prayer service will be held for Phyllis Mrazik on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.  Father Savio Yerasani will preside and burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Montello.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Phyllis’s name for the ASPCA.
