Phillip Held

Phillip Held, age 67, of Montello, formerly of Merton, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by his family early Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at his home. He was born on September 7, 1942 to Barton and Ruth (Wester) Held in Hartford, WI. He was an employee of Waukesha Electric Systems for over 25 years until retiring to the Montello area in 2006. Phillip was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. He leaves behind his wife, Ellen (nee Byrne), 5 children: Randy of Niles, MI, Lisa of Maplewood, MN, Deana (Shawn) Salisbury of Guyton, GA, Heidi (Jason) Fredrick of Oconomowoc, WI and Timothy (Jessica) Byrne of New Berlin, WI. Phillip is also survived by two grandsons: Eric Held and Brandon Salisbury and two sisters: Carolyn (Donald) Serres and Ruth (Bill) Rademan; five aunts: Anna Rankin, Esther (Charly) Whyte, Mildred Dallmann, June (James) Bitney and Marjory Seidl. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Dorothy Held of Westfield, WI, five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law all in Ireland as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Barton and infant Michael. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 495 Saint Augustine Rd, Colgate, WI. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Rev. John Helt will officiate. Memorials are preferred to the Budda-Box Fight Against Cancer, P.O. Box 91, Westfield, WI 53964.
