Patricia Arenz

Patricia “Pat” A. Arenz, age 79 of Montello passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at The Markesan Resident Home.  Pat was born in Ripon on May 10, 1941 to Louis and Laura (Anklam) Miller and later married John Arenz on June 17, 1972 in Waukegan, IL; he preceded her in death on June 18, 2012.  Pat and John lived in the Markesan area while raising their family; it wasn’t until 1998 that they moved to Montello.  Pat was a devout member of the Catholic Faith, attended church regularly.  She enjoyed making rosaries and jewelry and filled her time crocheting afghans as well as baby blankets and hats for area hospitals.  Pat loved thrifting.  She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her care free spirit and the love she had for her family.

Pat is survived by three children: Sharon (James) Ross of Dexter, MO, Tricia (fiancé Jeff) Treptow and Matthew (fiancée Florence) both of Markesan as well as thirteen grandchildren:  Hallie, Jacob, John (Ashley), Ravan (David), Paris (Blake), Elizabeth, Aly, Kathleen (Wayne), Laura (Jeremy), Mindy (Joshua), Tonya, Brandon (Nikole), and Aaron (Chrystal).  She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and two sisters: Carol (Bern) Perr and Sandra Petermann.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, Cody, great-great-granddaughter, Ava Marie and nephew, Larry Perr.

Due to the current health situation, the family will be planning a Celebration of Pat’s Life for a future date when it is safe to gather.
