Myrna Kapke

Myrna Lee Kapke, age 75 of Oxford passed away Friday, July 29, 2022 at St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.  Myrna was born in Portage to Clarence and Iona (Kingsley) Ripley on July 20, 1947.  She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1965 and married Donald Kapke on June 1, 1968 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Westfield.  Together they enjoyed many wonderful years together until his passing on December 14, 2014.

Myrna held several jobs throughout her working years; she worked at Brakebush, Medical Transport and always cared for her family.  She and Donald enjoyed camping and also needlepoint.  Myrna was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oxford.

Myrna is survived by her son, Todd and special nephew, Mike Rosanske both of Oxford as well as her sister, Connie (Mike Jarvis) Dammann of Wausau.  She is also survived by sister-in-law, Agnes Ripley, brother-in-law, Jim Preston, her canine companion, Razz, many nieces, nephews and their children.

Myrna is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters: Gale Preston, Deon (Richard) Fries and brother, Glen Ripley.

Myrna will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Westfield Township with private services.
