Mildred Pociask

Mildred Joan Pociask, age 80 of Oxford and formerly of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, July 29, 2014 at the Montello Care Center. She was born in Chicago on March 26, 1934 to Kalikst and Antoinette (Krogel) Jakimowicz. She married Edward "Bud" Pociask on October 26, 1957 and together they worked and raised their family in Chicago until retiring to the Oxford area in the early 1990's.

Mildred is survived by her husband, Bud, two sons: John (Deann) and Chris, both of Naperville, IL and one daughter, Elise (Tom) Karbowski of West Chicago, IL as well as three grandchildren: Amanda, Melanie and Tom. She is also survived by one sister, Evelyn and one sister-in-law, Pat. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mildred on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Constance Catholic Church, 5843 Strong Street, Chicago, IL 60630. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home, 4800 N Austin Avenue, Chicago.
