Michael Roney

Michael Allan Roney, age 54 of Oxford passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau with his two "siiisssters" by his side.  Mike was born on May 5, 1969 to Glendon and Sherry (Holliday) Roney in Portage. He grew up in Oxford and graduated from Westfield High School in 1987.  Mike had many lifelong friends that he held close to his heart all his life.  His "siiisssters" were the light of his life, only to be moved to 3rd and 4th place when his two beautiful nieces came into this world.  He was so proud to be their uncle!!  Mike had so much love in his heart for his five ladies and all of his friends. 

He leaves behind the five most important women in his life: his mother, Sherry Roney, sisters: Sara (Raymond) Ryzner and Faith (Garret Gould) Kirsenlohr along with his nieces: Mara and Makena Kirsenlohr.  He is also survived by his beloved cat, Prissy.  Mike is preceded in death by his father, Glendon.

A visitation for Michael Roney will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 9:30 until 11:00 AM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford.  Following the visitation, a brief graveside service and inurnment will take place at the Oxford Village Cemetery.  I celebration of Mike's life will continue at Generation's following the graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family. 

The family would like to Thank Oxford EMS and Fire Department, Aspirus Hospitals of both Portage and Wausau as well as Lola and Nic from North Star Services for all the care that they gave to Mike.
