Maurine Phillips

Maurine Marna Phillips , age 97 of Dana, IL passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Montello Care Center where she has resided for the past nine years.  Maurine was born on January 26, 1921 in Long Point, Illinois to John and Lilly (Houselman) Levell.  She graduated from Dana Township High School in 1939 and married Henry Phillips on December 12, 1973 in Streator, IL; together they resided in Kangley, IL.  Henry preceded Maurine in death on September 12, 1998. Maurine cared for her family and in her spare time she loved to garden and tend to her flowers.

Maurine is survived by her son, Charles (Tina) of Oxford and daughters-in-law: Carolyn Masterson and Jin Phillips and two step-sons: Walter (Barbara) Phillips and Mark (Lynn) Phillips.  She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maurine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Henry and three sons: Stanley Phillips, David Phillips and Arlin Masterson.

Maurine will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Streator, Illinois with a private ceremony.
