Mary Sebastiani

Mary Ann Sebastiani, age 80 of Oxford passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, December 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. Mary Ann was born in River Grove, IL on November 22, 1935 to Romeo and Lena (Mannella) Sebastiani. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1955. Following high school, she became a Certified Nurses Assistant and served people in need from 1955 until retiring in 2014. She also worked for Rayovac in Portage for over 20 years during that time. In her almost 50 years as a CNA she worked for various care giving organizations in the area; most recently Northland Community Services of Westfield. Mary Ann loved dogs and collecting dolls. She always worried about everyone else before herself. Mary Ann will be remembered for caring spirit, generous nature and her sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Mary Ann leaves behind her two brothers: Alfredo Sebastiani of Oxford and Arthur (Christine) Sebastiani of Green Lake as well as nieces and nephews: Michael (Cynthia), Debra (David) Netzer, Linda (Corey) Gage, Karin (Tim) Thacker and Karol (Chris) Hardy. She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews as well as special friends and caregivers: Mike and Laura Briese and Vickie and John Dominas. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Beverly Sebastiani. A funeral service for Mary Ann will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will officiate and burial will follow the service at the Oxford Village Cemetery.
