Mary Meyer

Mary Elizabeth Meyer, age 56 of Montello passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2012 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born in Sopron, Hungary on May 10, 1955 to Steve and Anna (Ruzsak) Ribarits. Mary immigrated to the United States as a young child; she lived in the Chicago area for many years until relocating to Wisconsin. Mary enjoyed cooking her traditional Hungarian meals, spending time outdoors gardening, hiking, horseback riding and just being in the sun. She was an animal lover who had an adventurous spirit and a kind heart. Mary took advantage of every chance to spend time with her family that she loved so very much. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by her three sons: Frank (Desiree) Bellamia, Steve Bellamia and Ryan Meyer all of Montello as well as one grandson, Austin. She is also survived by two sisters: Gisell (Richard) Wien of Edina, MN and Anna (Gregory) Cygnar of Chicago, IL. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members as well as her feline companion, Leo. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steve J. Ribarits Jr. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Montello with Father Michael Richel officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Following the service, inurnment will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Montello. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is assisting the family with arrangements. www.CrawfordFH.com
