Marlene Violet Leeseberg, age 82, of Montello, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015 from complications of ALS. Marlene was born in Chicago, IL, on March 5, 1933 to Stanley B. and Violet Erlandson. Marlene married Kenneth K. Leeseberg on February 2, 1952 in Grace Lutheran Church in Villa Park, IL; they moved to Montello in 1986, where they became active members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Packwaukee.
Besides her husband Ken, she is survived by her children, Kathy (Deb Hawney), West Chicago, IL; Peggy (Mike) Campion, Montello; John (Judy), West Chicago, IL; and Jim, West Chicago, IL. Also, her brother Daniel (Sharon) Erlandson, Lombard, IL; sister Sandra (Richard) Schaefer, Brooklyn, NY; four grandchildren: Adeline and Joshiah (Darnell) Campion, Jessica and Jacqueline Leeseberg, and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brynlee Campion. She was preceded in death by grandson Joey Campion, and survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Last employed at the Montello Care Center as a CNA. She was an avid gardener, and loved to read and make quilts and spend time with her extended family.
