Mark Whaley

Mark James Whaley, age 53 of Packwaukee died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, June 19, 2013 at his home. Mark was born in Portage on October 5, 1959 to Richard and Betty (Evans) Whaley. He attended Montello Schools and later married Lisa Miller in Montello and from that union came two children: James and Robyn. Mark worked for Kempley Farms and later the Gumz Farms. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Mark's little helper, Mackenna was very dear to him and the time they spent together brought him great joy. Some of his other passions were working on his trucks, but most of all spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. Mark is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Lisa and two children: James (Erin Audiss) and Robyn (Jack Krause) Jordan both of Packwaukee as well as six grandchildren: Ayda, Mackenna, Tylor, Tristan, Tearra and Bianca. He is also survived by a sister, Geraldine Whaley of Portage and two brothers: Steve (Teri) and Scott, both of Packwaukee as well as Chris (April) Whaley of Packwaukee. Mark is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents and brother and best friend, Merton. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford, 306 S. Franklin Avenue, Oxford. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will preside and inurnment will follow at Underhill Cemetery, town of Packwaukee.
