Marjorie "Marge" A. Bauer, age 80 of Montello (White Lake) passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at her home with her daughters by her side. Marge was born in Portage to Arthur and Zella (Russell) Bisch on July 31, 1936. She graduated from Baraboo High School and married Andrew C. Bauer on August 13, 1952 in Baraboo. They raised their family in Fort Atkinson. Andrew preceded Marjorie in death on November 11, 1994. Marge moved to Montello following her husband's death and enjoyed her house in the woods and the nature that surrounded her. She was an avid auto midget race fan; Marge and Andy traveled extensively to numerous dirt tracks events. She also cheered on her beloved Packers and Badger football teams. Marge's family recently celebrated her eightieth birthday with a surprise party with numerous friends and family attending. Marge is survived by her children: Sandi (Glenn) Winter of Calgary, Alberta, Andrew B. Bauer of Fort Atkinson, Becky Bauer of Bayfield, CO and Brenda (Bob) Langston of Evans, CO as well as nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her special neighbor, Tom Mertely and other family members and friends. Marge is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Joe. She is also preceded in death by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law who were very close to her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Marjorie Bauer on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Princeton. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the church. Father Dale Grubba will preside and inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery in Plain. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Marjorie's name.
