Marian Przybyla

Marian (Kozbiel) Przybyla, age 94, of Montello passed away peacefully, early Saturday morning, July 31, 2021 at Martha’s Assisted Living in Princeton WI.  She was born July 27, 1927 in Milwaukee WI, the daughter of Anna and Adam Kozbiel, who preceded her in death.  She married George Przybyla, the love of her life, and enjoyed 66 years of marriage, until his passing in 2013.  Marian worked at Everett Knitting in Milwaukee for many years, until she and George retired to Montello in 1986.  She was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, where she participated and helped in many church activities and helped in supporting George’s playing concertina music at the local nursing homes. She joked that she had to carry his music and music stand.

Marian loved reading, cross word puzzles and word search puzzles.  Marian was very close to her grandsons, Scott and John, loved them and enjoyed traveling the country for their personal and sporting events. Grandma or Gramma, as we called her was the life of the party and loved to talk to people and listen to them, but mostly talk. She had a great memory that helped us understand the past and improve the future and will be missed for her loving, loyal and caring qualities.  She was very competitive, especially when it came to the family’s famous card games.  Also, she was a loving mother and mother-in-law and will be so missed.

Those that Marian has left behind are:  her son, Alan (Kathleen) Przybyla and her grandsons, Scott (Summer) Przybyla and John (Donna) Przybyla.  Great-grandchildren, Jourdan, Tiffany, Quade (Lexi) and Mikael, and great great grandson, Nash.  Also included are her sister, Dolores Gunkel of Milwaukee WI and sister-in-law, Rita Oltesvig of Nekoosa WI, and many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to the staff members of Martha’s Assisted Living Facility for their support and caring for Marian.  They truly loved and enjoyed her feisty, fun loving spirit.  Also, many thanks to Generations Hospice Staff for supporting her in her final days.
