Lorella Janke

Lorella Mildred Janke , age 95 of rural Oxford passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.  Lorella was born on June 6, 1927 to Ernest and Alvina (Kaleese) Reid at home in Jackson Township, Adams County.  She was united in marriage to Leland Janke on June 30, 1945; together they farmed in Westfield Township and were blessed with four children.  Leland preceded Lorella in death on February 15, 2013.

Lorella is survived by three children: Patricia (Paul) McMahon, Allen Janke and Brenda Janke as well as eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorella is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leland, daughter, Gloria Miller, sisters: Bonita Phillips, Inez Christensen, Marion Weber, Amy Dunn and Lucille Feely, brothers: Stewart Reid, Willis Reid and Clarence Reid as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Lorella Janke will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Oxford Village Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Lorella’s name.
