Lieselotte "Lisa" C. Dehaut, age 76 of Portage passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Baraboo. Lisa was born in West Germany on December 28, 1938 to August and Johanna Dehaut. She immigrated to the United States in 1959. Lisa worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Portage before it closed and later retired from Brakebush Brothers after over 20 years of faithful employment. Lisa enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with her dogs: Daisy and Sassy. She liked attending car shows and was a diehard Packers Fan. Lisa loved her family very much and her sense of humor and independent spirit will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Lisa is survived by her daughter, Gabrielle (Walter) Shier of Baraboo and five grandchildren: Robert Graham, Brooke (Terry) Peterson, Joshua Graham, Betsy (James) Schneider and Jeremy (Nancy) Shier. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren as well as a sister, three brothers and other extended family members in West Germany. Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Ruth and grandson, Jeremy Schwochert. The family invites friends and relatives to a memorial prayer service for Lieselotte on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Packwaukee. Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be private.
