Lester Brantmeier

Lester Norman Brantmeier , age 74 of Montello, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 9th, 2018 at his home.  Lester was born in Sherwood, Wisconsin on Sept. 4, 1944 to Norman and Alice (Odonell) Brantmeier.  He married Sherian (Johnson) on Oct. 7, 1972 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Horicon, Wisconsin.  Together they were blessed with six children.  Les worked in the sheet metal fabrication industry for many years.  First as a fabricator and later on in other estimating and inspection roles.  Lester and Sherian purchased and ran the "Kozy Rest" motel in Montello, Wisconsin until their retirement in 2010.

Lester enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was a big sports fan and always had a good story to tell.  He also enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Winter, Wisconsin.

Lester is survived by his children; Ron (Emily) Firari of Horicon, Ray (Rhonda) Brantmeier of Neenah, Brenda Firari of Ripon, Darrin (Wendy) Brantmeier of Florida, Jeff (Ann) Firari of Mayville and Heidi Brantmeier of Wisconsin Rapids, his brother Gene (Eileen) Brantmeier of Chilton and sisters Lorraine Koehler of Brillion, Doris Blatz of Manitowoc and Betty Neils of Keil.  He is further survived by 13 grandchildren; Anthony (Melissa) Firari, Lindsey (Bryce) Radloff, Ian, Nathan, Natalie and Noah Brantmeier, Jessica Firari, Samantha and Natassia Brantmeier, Cassondra, Matthew and Mallory Firari and Alicia Brantmeier as well as six great grandchildren and his beloved canine companion, Panda.  Lester was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sherian, his parents, brother-in-law, John Koehler and infant twin granddaughters.

A memorial service for Lester Brantmeier will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello with Pastor Titus Linebaugh officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Private family inurnment will take place at a later date at Oak Lawn Cemetery, town of Buffalo, Marquette County.
