La Hein

La June "Bud" Hein, age 89 of Montello passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Tuesday morning, May 19, 2015 at his home. Bud was born in Rubicon, Wisconsin on July 31, 1925 to Fred and Linda (Nagel) Hein. He completed an apprenticeship in carpentry and later became the Postmaster in Neosho, Wisconsin for 19 years. Bud married Marget J. Kirchoff on October 14, 1950 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Hustisford. Together they raised their four children in Neosho and retired to Montello in 1987. Bud enjoyed spending his winters in Texas as well as fishing and carpentry work. He was a long time member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neosho and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. Bud also had a green thumb for flowers and vegetables. He will be greatly missed. Bud leaves behind his wife of almost 65 years, Marget and four children: Greg (Brian Watson) of Arkansas, Barbara (Darwin) Derge of Hartford, Robert (Michelle Cordeiro) of Neosho and Patty (Troy) Wegner of Lake Mills. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Darr (Stephanie), Darrin (Sara), Michael, Stacy, Tanner, Gavin, Chad, Craig (Misty), Tricia (Paul), Dustin and Damon (Ashley) as well as twelve great-grandchildren. Bud is further survived by his brother, Gilbert and his sister, Bernice as well as other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service for La June "Bud" Hein will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and following the service, full military honors will be performed by American Legion Post 351 of Montello. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred in Bud's name to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church.
