Kirk Krueger

Kirk Darwin Krueger, age 72 of Montello passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.  Kirk was born on July 4, 1951 to Alex and Milly Krueger in Portage (not Montello like the Social Security Administration says).  He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello and graduated from Montello High School in 1969.  Kirk furthered his education at UW-Oshkosh where he met his future wife, Connie Wilton.  He married her on May 20, 1972 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Montello.  They resided in Waukesha where he was employed at RTE/ Cooper Power Systems at various production positions and supervisor and management positions in his later years.  They returned to Montello in 1998 to semi-retire; Kirk continued to work at Glen-Oak Lumber and Milling and fully retired in 2009.  He enjoyed his family, gardening, hunting and fishing.

Kirk leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Connie and two children:  Rachel (Rich) Huser and Kyle (Carmen) along with five grandchildren:  Talor Selbach-Reichhoft, Alex Huser, Sierra Huser, Kaden Krueger and Tristan Krueger.  He is also survived by other extended family members.

Kirk says “See me now as you saw me in life” his earthly existence has ended.
