Kimberly Jo Hardie, age 42 of Montello passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 1, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born on July 13, 1968 and grew up in Racine with her parents, Don and LaVonne (Person) Johnson. On May 27, 1995 she married James Hardie and together they have lived and worked in the Montello area since 1992. Kim enjoyed life, loved being with her children, and her grandchildren. She was very active on facebook and also enjoyed snowmobiling. She was a past member of the Montello Lions Club and also Relay for Life. Kim will always be remembered for her caring spirit; even after her death she gave life to other individuals through the organ donation program. Kim is survived by her husband, James of Montello and five children: Luke Miller Jr. (fianci�½ Megan Maly) of Montello, Crystal Miller and Melissa of Jacksonville, FL, Lori Hardie of Bremerton, WA, Delia (fianci�½ Fabian Barrera Jr.) Brayden of Endeavor and Kayla Hardie of Milwaukee. She is also survived by her father, Don Johnson of Racine as well as three grandchildren: Haile, Jayden and Jackson and one brother, Kipp Burchell of Oshkosh. Kim is further survived by parents-in-law, Marlowe and Wanda Hardie of Montello and special friends, Stacy (Jeff) Young and Jonathan and Alycia Deblare of Alabama as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Kim is preceded in death by her mother and grandparents. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the People's Church with Pastor Mark Hensley officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Following the traditional service, Kim will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is serving the family.
