Kenneth J. Paczkowski, age 75 of Montello, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, April 5, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Madison. Ken was born on March 27, 1936 in Suamico, WI to Walter and Clara (Yusvak) Paczkowski. He valiantly served his country in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army and then married Arline Jagodzinski in Milwaukee on May 4, 1957; together they worked and lived in the Milwaukee area until moving to Montello in the early 1980's. Ken worked for Frietag's Chevrolet for many years. He also was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR racing, gardening and woodworking. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and also of American Legion Post 351 of Montello. Ken leaves behind his wife, Arline of almost 54 years, two daughters: Lori Paczkowski of Montello and Kelly (Kevin) Finzel of Packwaukee. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Ken, Kevin, Leah, and David as well as a great-grandson, Kadin. Ken is further survived by his brother, Clayton of Tracy, MN and brother-in-law, Ken Jay as well as many nephews, nieces and dear friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Evelyn and Phyllis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Father Michael Richel will officiate and burial will follow with full military honors at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Montello. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Budda-Box Fight Against Cancer. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is serving the family. www.CrawfordFH.com.
