Kenneth Krentz

Kenneth 'Kenny' Krentz, age 63 of Montello died Friday evening, November 25, 2011 at UW-Hospital in Madison. He was born April 29, 1948 in Portage, WI to Ernest and Adelaide (Klee) Krentz. Kenny was a 1966 graduate of Montello High School; following high school he worked on family farm where he lived for the remainder of his life. He purchased the farm from his father in 1981. In 1974, he married Lisa Norton and together they had three sons. Kenny enjoyed being in the outdoors; whether hunting or fishing or farming as long as he was outside. He was always up for a conversation and a good story. Kenny was a lifelong resident of Montello. He could always be found at the Hilltop Cafi�½ around mealtime or working at the town recycling center on Saturdays. His life passions were farming and his family. Survivors include: his mother, Adelaide Krentz of Montello , sister, Carol (Tom) Stempniak of Montello, three sons, Derek (Jackie) of Montello, Korey (Sarah) of Montello and Jason of Green Bay as well as the mother of his children, Lisa Schwenn. Kenny is also survived by four grandchildren: Cole, Austin, Emma and Keegan as well as other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Ernest. A brief prayer service and time of reflection will be led by Pastor Dawn Helton- Anishnaabeqwa on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Trinity United Methodist Church in Montello. A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. A private family inurnment will take place on the family farm at a later date.
