Keith F. Glaser, age 82, of Montello passed away peacefully early Monday morning, March 21, 2011 at his home. Keith was born on February 6, 1929 in Muscatine, IA to Julius and Harriet (Royal) Glaser. He valiantly served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army. Following WWII he married Shirley DeKoning in Aberdeen, MD on June 7, 1948; she preceded him in death in June of 2004. Keith was a very dedicated veteran; he and his wife volunteered many hours at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King and he also was very active in the VFW as well as American Legion Post 351 of Montello. Living in the Milwaukee area, Keith worked as a truck driver for 49 years until retirement and moving to his home near White Lake in 1991. He will always be remembered for his easy going personality and his friendly nature; he will be greatly missed. Keith is survived by his 'better half' and companion, Debra Glaser, six children: Keith D. (Charlotte) of Muskego, Judith (Robert) Bandkowski of Franklin, Ron (Christie) of Sugar Land, TX, Hope (Dennis) Palenski of Milwaukee, Joy (Chris) Larson of Portage and Kelly (Tammy) of Racine. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren: Keith, Kevin (Jessy), Rob (Rachael), Tracy, Ryan (Meggan), Twila (Derrick), Sarah, Emily, Toni, Mark (Brittany), Karissa, Michelle, Jarred, Allie, Evan, Caleb and Keegan as well as five great-grandchildren: Cassandra, Jackson, Abigail, Ava and Fiona. He is further survived by five siblings: Delores, Marge (Mel), Connie (Bert), Bev (Frank) and Norman as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Keith is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley of 56 years, parents, infant son, Bruce and three siblings: Junior, Ruth, and Bill. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at American Legion Post 351 in Montello followed by full military honors. Friends are welcome to gather at the Legion Post beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keith will be inurned in the Central Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, King, WI.
