June Ladik

June (Gaulke) Ladik, age 86, of Montello passed away early Sunday, May 16, 2010 at her home. She was born in Milwaukee to Walter and Linda (Krueger) Gaulke on January 6, 1924. She married John Ladik on October 3, 1942 at the Cross Lutheran Church in Milwaukee; together they worked and raised their four children in Milwaukee until retiring to Montello in 1983. June enjoyed knitting, crocheting and also fishing. She was a very artistic person, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. June leaves behind: her husband of almost 68 years, two sons: Thomas (Doreen Gondek) of Montello and Walter (Sandra) of Monona, WI, and two daughters: Linda (Fred) Fabian of Burlington, WI and Nancy (Tom) Mender of Monona, WI. June is further survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. June is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4011 Major Avenue, Madison 53716. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Rev. Paula Harris will officiate and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice Hope-Green Lake.
