Jessica Halverson

INSERT PHOTO Jessica Danielle DeCarlis Halverson, age 22 of Portage/Oxford died Monday, November 3, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident. Jessica was born on December 11, 1991 in Portage. She graduated from Portage High School with the class of 2010 and was most recently working as a rural mail carrier for the Portage Post Office. She was also a sale associate at UltraCom in Portage. Jessica enjoyed watching the Packers and Bears games. She was an avid fan of both teams depending on who she was watching them with Jessica enjoyed shopping, napping, spending time with her dog, Jax and especially spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Jessica is survived by her mother: Mary (Randy Pozdolski) Halverson; father: John (Tammy Hable) Halverson; siblings: Nick, Amber, Travis, Logan, Braden; paternal grandparents: Glen and Flo Halverson; significant other: Ben Foster and his daughter: Alexis; cousins: Melissa, Brittany, Jessica, Kelsey, Irvin Jr., Jimmie III, Waylon, Delbert, Kelly, Jennifer, Tommy, Emily, Michael, Cara, Liz, Sara, Amanda, Blake; great niece: Emersyn J; great nephew: Garrett John; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. Jessica was preceded in death by her biological father: Richard DeCarlis; brother: Josh Halverson; maternal grandparents: Miriam and Jim Flowers; uncle: David James Flowers and her beloved dog: Jasmine. A funeral service for Jessica will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oxford Bible Church, 547 W. Ormsby, Oxford. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Pastor Donald Wedel will officiate and burial will follow at the Oxford Village Cemetery.
