Jeri Whaley

Jeri Lynn Whaley, age 71 of Portage passed away peacefully Monday, March 31, 2025 at The Montello Care Center. Jeri was born in Portage on May 27, 1953 to Richard and Betty (Evans) Whaley. She grew up in Packwaukee and graduated from Montello High School in 1971 and furthered her education in Culinary Arts at MATC. Jeri was a cook at many area restaurants throughout her life. She enjoyed attending county fairs, playing bingo and always looked forward to going to the casino. Jeri loved to spend time with her family and will be fondly remembered as a proud mother and caring person.

Jeri is survived by her son, Chris of Montello and three grandchildren: Brandy, Spencer and Grayson. She is also survived by her brother, Scott Whaley, sisters-in-law: Lisa Whaley and Teri Whaley as well as nephews and nieces: Jamie (Erin), Cassandra, Leslie, Robyn, Emily, Tanya (Corry), Zach and Paige.

Jeri is preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Merton (Renee), Mark and Steven.

Honoring Jeri’s wishes, there will be no service.
