Jeanne Blada

Jeanne Mae Blada, age 78, formerly of Montello passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Linden Grove Nursing Home in New Berlin. Jeanne was born in rural Adams County on March 20, 1937 to Albert and Iva (Traver) Raymond. She was a 1955 graduate of Montello High School and later married Stanley Blada in Montello on November 14, 1959. Jeanne worked for JC Penney in Milwaukee, retiring as a supervisor. She moved to Wautoma, then Montello and most recently to New Berlin to be closer to her family. Stanley preceded Jeanne in death on January 9, 2004. Jeanne was an avid reader, baker and also enjoyed gardening. Her family was very important to her and she immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her three children: Jeannette Blada of New Berlin, Douglas (Kristin) of Howards Grove and Karen Blada of New Berlin as well as five grandchildren: Jesse, Sara, Stephanie, Aaron and Samantha. She is also survived by her brother, George (Mary) Raymond along with other family and friends.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two infant sisters and sister, Dorothy (Eugene) Napralla. A funeral service for Jeanne will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 12 noon at John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and burial will follow at the Montello City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that is being established in Jeanne's name.
