Regina "Jean" Timm

Regina “Jean” M. Timm, age 93 of Greenfield (formerly of Montello) passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at her home.  Jean was born in Appleton on May 31, 1929 to John and Katharine (Van Boekel) Willemsen.  She graduated from St. John’s High School in Appleton and married Russell “Russ” Timm on July 17, 1948 and together they raised their family in Milwaukee, relocating to Montello in 1990. 

Jean enjoyed life.  She was fun loving and always had a positive attitude.  She was a friend to everyone and always made people feel welcome.  Jean had a strong Christian Faith.  She enjoyed family outings, camping at Pelican Lake, all winter sports and square dancing.  Russ and Jean attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello.  She was active in the Women’s Club, St. Ann’s Society, Meals of Wheels and planting flowers at the waterfall.  Jean thoroughly enjoyed her life in the independent apartments at Clement Manor in Greenfield.  She participated in many activities and made many good friends there.

Mom, you brought a smile to everyone who knew you and we will continue to smile with our wonderful memories.

Jean is survived by four children: Katharine (Michael) Wolf of Wales, Lorie (Jim) Wilcox of Waukesha, Patricia (Donald) Stehling of Fond du lac and Robert (Jody) of Vernon as well as nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. 

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Harold (Ethel) Willemsen.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Regina “Jean” Timm will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service.  Father Fr. Joji Reddy will preside and following the traditional Mass, Jean will be cremated.  Inurnment in the parish cemetery will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in Jean’s name.
