Janice G. Toth, age 79, of Packwaukee passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, March 22, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Janice was born in Skokie, Il on May 30, 1932 to Edward and Margaret (Genz) Boekenhauer. She married Peter J. Toth on May 5, 1951 in Morton Grove, Il at St. Martha's Catholic Church and from that union came two children. Janice was gifted at crocheting and also painting. Upon moving to Packwaukee in 1994 she and Peter spent many hours fishing on Buffalo Lake. When her health allowed, she regularly attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello and also the Senior Center in Packwaukee. Most of all, Janice immensely enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janice is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, Peter and two children: Joseph of Packwaukee and Margaret (Jeffery) Gartner of Morton Grove, IL as well as her two grandchildren: Bryan and Rebecca Gartner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and numerous dear friends. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Edward Boekenhauer and her sister, Jean Brunger. A memorial service will be held on May 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martha Catholic Church in Morton Grove, Illinois. A luncheon will follow at the White Eagle in Niles.
