Harley Frazer

Harley Duane Frazer, age 74 of Dalton passed away peacefully Thursday evening, March 5, 2015 at American Way in Portage. Harley was born at home in Oxford on August 4, 1940 to Jesse and Alice (Lake) Frazer. He was a 1958 graduate of Oxford High School. Harley was united in marriage to Carol Glover at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kingston on April 27, 1963. Together they were blessed with seven children; Carol preceded Harley in death on April 15, 2007.
Harley was an avid outdoorsman; especially bowhunting. He volunteered many hours teaching youth archery with the Montello Bowbenders and Boy Scouts. Harley was a skilled carpenter, building cabinets and many other custom wood projects. He worked first for Glover Metal Buildings and later retired from Bachmann Construction after thirty years of faithful employment. Harley most enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Harley is survived by five children: Jeffrey of Montello, Corinne Frazer of Montello, Kristine Elzy of Portage, Marci Frazer of Portage and Erin Frazer of Portage as well as three grandchildren: Jacob, Emily and Amanda. He is also survived by his great-granddaughter, Kaiya and five siblings: Harvey (Lucy), Helen Schwingel, Robert (Linda), Mary (Edgar) Dean and Wilma Frazer.
Harley is preceded in death by his parents, wife and two infant sons: Michael Todd and Scott Allan. A Mass of Christian Burial for Harley will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kingston. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello and again on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 until 11:15 a.m. Father Paulraj Sellam will preside and burial will follow at the parish cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that is being established in Harley's name.
