Goodman Fields

Goodman 'Goody' Fields Jr., age 69, of Montello passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his home. Goody was born on January 16, 1942 in Laona, WI to Goodman and Louise (Stassel) Fields Sr. He married Barbara Beay in Illinois on January 19, 1962 and together they worked and raised their two sons in Milwaukee until moving to the Montello area in mid 1990's. Barbara preceded him in death on July 20, 2006. Goody was employed by Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for 35 years. He was an avid outdoorsman; hunting and fishing whenever possible. Goody also enjoyed nascar and watching the Packers. He will be greatly missed. Goody is survived by two sons: Todd (Claudia) of Alma Center, WI and Patrick of Milwaukee. He is also survived by three siblings: John (Deb), Priscilla (Bob) Karl and Pat (Don) Ryskoski as well as many nieces, nephews and his closest dear friends of Montello. Goody is preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister, Geraldine Case. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 453 E. Park St., Montello. A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. Rev. Sue Bryce will officiate and following the traditional service Goodman will be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to The Budda-Box Fight Against Cancer, P.O. Box 91, Westfield, WI 53964.
