Glenda Anderson

Glenda E. Anderson, age 74 of Montello passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 4, 2011 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. She was born on April, 21 1937 to Glenn and Ann (Dreschler) Anderson. Glenda never married and worked for many years for the Betchel Corporation in San Francisco, California before retiring to the Montello area in 1995 to be closer to family. While in San Francisco Glenda was very involved in the Eastern Star organization, achieving the honor of Worthy Matron in 1974. She enjoyed playing dominos as well as cards with her friends and was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Harrisville. Survivors include: one sister, Alice (Jim) Choate of Montello, niece, Karen Ackerson of Montello and nephews, Scott (Tia) Choate of Montello, Joe Schuman of Los Angeles, CA and Mike Newburgh of Montello. She is also survived by great-nephews: Luke Choate and Sam Ackerson and one aunt, Alice Wiersma of Sterling, IL. She is further survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Karen Schuman and an infant nephew, Jeffrey. Following Glenda's wishes, she was cremated and private family services will be held at a later date.
