Geraldine Draeger

July 29, 1943 — October 27, 2018

Geraldine Marie Draeger , age 75 of Montello passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage.  Geraldine was born in Montello on July 29, 1943 to Lester and Tressa (Cleland) Draeger.  She graduated from Montello High School in 1962 and moved to Waukegan, Illinois.   Geraldine was employed by Payson Casters for 38 years before returning to Montello to be closer to family.  She has resided at Joanie’s Home for the last 10 years.

Geraldine was a thoughtful and caring person; she sent friends and relatives numerous cards on special occasions.  She loved cats and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.  Geraldine enjoyed visiting with family and will be greatly missed by her not only her family but her friends at Joanie’s.

Geraldine leaves behind her sister, Virginia (special friend, Rodney Servey) Kratz of Packwaukee and four nephews: Jimmy, Jay, Lonny and Steve as well as a grand nephew, Garrett.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Kratz Jr.

A graveside prayer service for Geraldine Draeger will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Montello Eastside Cemetery.  Pastor Julie Krahn will lead the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.
