Gary E. Schwochert, age 64 of Kingston passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his home; he will now join with special friend in the afterlife. Gary was born in Portage to Gerald and Jacqueline (Kozlowski) Schwochert on June 18, 1950. He was raised in Milwaukee and attended Riverside High School. Gary served his country as a member of the United States Army and upon returning from Vietnam he worked as a machinist, most recently as a welding instructor, retiring from Badger State Industries. He was an avid Packer fan and also loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his two sons: Eric of Kingston and Brian of Milwaukee, three grandchildren: Lily, Gage and Levi as well as four siblings: Larry (Gail) of Green Bay, Nancy Kral-Schrank of Packwaukee, Bill of Portage and Daryl of Florida. He is further survived by one uncle, four aunts, eleven nephews and many friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, special friend, Denise, brother-in-law, Mike Schrank and many other relatives and friends. A Life Celebration will be led by the Family at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello, 453 E. Park Street, Montello. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
