Fred Machajewski Sr

Fred T. Machajewski Sr., age 70, of Montello died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, August 13, 2011 at his home. Fred was born in Milwaukee on July 7, 1941 and married Mary Novak at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford on June 11, 1966 and from that union came four children. Fred was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, hunt and trap; he enjoyed watching the Packers and Badgers, playing cards and also reading. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always able to strike up a conversation with anyone. Fred also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Fred is survived by his wife, Mary of 45 years, four children: Randy (Sharon Klug) of Montello, Ron (Mindy) of Westfield, Fred Jr. (Carol Tomachaski) of Montello and Shelly Machajewski of Montello. Fred is also survived by four grandchildren: Desiray (Jeff), Tyler, Emily and Lohgan as well as a great-granddaughter, Kimber. He is further survived by siblings: Harry 'Bun' (Carla) Machajewski, Kathy (George) Schmidt, Tom (Patty) Gemoll and Billy (Caroline) Gemoll and fishing buddy, Mike Cotter as well as many other relatives and dear friends. Fred is preceded in death by mother, Florence Machajewski, step-father, Ralph Gemoll and his brother, Robert. A prayer service lead by Father Michael Richel will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service. Full military honors will be performed by American Legion Post 351 of Montello. Following the service Fred will be cremated.
