Frank Lentz

Frank Frederick Lentz , age 78 of Oxford passed away peacefully with his loving daughter and son-in-law by his side on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at his home, due to a courageous battle with cancer.  Frank was born on March 23, 1943 at home on his parent’s farm in the Town of New Haven, Adams County, to William and Lorena (Bandt) Lentz.  Frank attended the one-room Stafford Grade School and graduated from Oxford High School in 1962.  He farmed for many years before going to work in construction.  Frank married Jean Koblyski and from that union came one daughter, Janie, who he adored and was the light of Frank’s life.  Frank and Jean later divorced.

Frank worked as a heavy equipment operator for Gabe’s Construction and later Intercon Construction and retired after 30+ years.  Frank loved hunting with his daughter and son-in-law, and special friends and taking gator rides around his farm and most of the neighborhood looking for deer and coyotes.  He also enjoyed talking to anybody and everybody.  Frank was a devoted, loving father who affectionately called his daughter “Kitten” and he loved to spend time with her and her husband, Roy, who he truly admired and was like a son to him.  He will be remembered for his smile, happy, fun-loving and caring personality, his sense of humor, always wanting to have a good time—he was known as the life of the party.  He had a Heart of Gold and brought joy, laughter and happiness to all.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Jane (Roy) Gervais of Adams, two brothers: Orval (Louise) of Oxford and Richard of Prairie du Sac.   He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Gail Lentz of Hartland as well as many nieces and nephews.  Special friends: Kenny Kieffer and Doug & Linda Phillips.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edward and sister-in-law, Carol Lentz.

A memorial service for Frank Lentz will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Oxford.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.  Pastor Marci Nichols will officiate and private family inurnment will take place at a later date.  Following the service, a Celebration of Frank’s Life will take place at the Oxford VFW from 2:00 until 6:00 PM.
