Franklin Crandall

Franklin L. Crandall Jr., age 76 of Montello passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.  Frank was born in Antioch, IL on October 9, 1946 to Franklin Sr. and Laura (Hess) Crandall.  He graduated from Montello High School in 1964 and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.  Frank married Patricia “Pat” Creamer in Oshkosh on April 12, 1969 and together they raised their family in Montello.  Pat preceded Frank in death on September 19, 2001.

Frank worked for many years as a lineman for GT&E.  He enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities and watching westerns.  Frank will be remembered for being a man of few words and for the love he had for his family.

Frank is survived by his two children:  Les (Kim) Crandall of Montello and Francine Price of Deforest and three grandchildren:  Brenden, Haylie and Jayden.  He is also survived by his sister, Lee Anne Paul, step-daughter, Becky Strohm and her family as well as many other extended family members.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sisters: Maybelle (Phil) Husting and Sandra Kirk.

Frank will be laid to rest with private family services and full military honors at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
