Francis Chowaniec

Francis "Frank" Xavier Chowaniec, age 72 of Oxford passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 unexpectedly. Frank was born in Milwaukee to Maximillian and Mary (Connors) Chowaniec on March 5, 1944. Raised in Milwaukee, he retired from Marquette University Dental School where he worked as a dental technician, and moved to Oxford with his life partner, Tim Helm in 2002. Tim also passed away Saturday. Frank liked to garden and craft. He and Tim enjoyed their trips to the casino and will be remembered for their sense of humor, compassion, and ability to make everyone laugh. Frank leaves behind seven siblings: Pat (Joann) of South Milwaukee, Mary Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC, James (Jean) of Oxford, John (Frances) of Sun City, AZ, Mike (Cathy) of Phoenix, AZ, Victoria Scott of Milwaukee and Joseph (Charlene) of Orange Park, FL. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Frank is preceded in death by his parents. In accordance with Frank's wishes, private family services will be held and he will be inurned at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
