Emily Elaine Klump, age 80 of Oxford, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. Emily was born on March 20, 1931 in Jackson Township, Adams County, to Frederick and Katie (Hayes) Nelson. Emily attended both elementary and high school in Oxford, graduating in 1948. She furthered her education at the Milwaukee Business College; working many years as the secretary at the Oxford Convalescent Home, Tommy Thompson's law office and at the Crossroads Clinic. On November 15, 1952 Emily married Norman Klump in Oxford; he preceded her in death on January 15, 1988. Emily was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. She also enjoyed dancing with Norm, spending time with her dogs, watching and reading westerns, crocheting, and gardening as well as fishing. Emily traveled and camped throughout the United States with Norman. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include three children: Gerald (Vicki) of Middleton, Stephen (Diana) of Oxford and Diane Klump of Oxford as well as four grandchildren: Jamie, Melanie, Cameron and Spencer. She is also survived by her sister, Lola Foote of Oxford as well as nieces and nephews. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three siblings: Ruth (Henry) Kulmatycki, Edwin Nelson and Duane (Verna) Nelson. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 18th at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. and also at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Lay Pastor Brenda Pulver will officiate and burial will follow at the Oxford Village Cemetery. Crawford Funeral Home of Montello is serving the family. www.CrawfordFH.com
